    Oxygen Sensor in Manifold

I've done this mod, and my O2 sensor didn't last very long. I was told it's probably getting too hot.

Is it possible to mount a 18mm tube up out of the manifold to put it farther away from the manifold?

    Would this read correctly?

I have been running the same o2 sensor for over a year and half screwed right into the exhaust manifold. Maybe running too lean or rich is damaging your o2 sensors. I think it should work fine with a spacer.

Excellent news! I'll replace it and have another go at it.
