    gp1200r excessive smoke

so ever since i put a new cylinder/piston and cleaned out the carbs on my gpr my ski has been smoking wayyy more than it used to..i only notice it at idle but it might be doing it at higher rpm too. and i know its not my imagination because last time i went out i put about a half gallon of oil in the tank and a few hours later it was giving me the low oil beeper. at first i thought it might be the motor burning off extra crap that was in there but its been to long now . anyone know what would cause this?

Yes the other cable controls the oil pump flow.

That's one way to get more oil for break-in.

Glad to hear you've got it back together.
