I have a 2003 ultra 150 that has charging problems. I checked the two yellow wires and they are putting out 5.5 volts at 3000 rpm. I checked the ohms on the stator and they are much lower than the manual states it should be. Does the engine have to be pulled to remove the magneto cover to get acess to the stator or can i swap it out with the engine in the hull.

I haven't seen the motor on a 150 but I am guessing if it is anything like the 1100 you could probably do it if you could access all the bolts. It will be tight working space though. Might take you a little bit longer to do.
