Ticking noise is not normal. Sounds like a broken bearing cage or piece of trash in a bearing. Dont run it.

I've rebuilted close to 20 now, and NO....ANY noise is not normal at all, looks like there is a problem with the rebuilt, and i would NOT run a noisy supercharger in any engine at all....you'd be better to remove that from there before it ruins something else...

Supercharger is supposed to be very smooth and quiet after the rebuilt, just like you would expect from any rebuilted new bearing unit.

Get that crap out of your engine before it blows anything...!

    +1 DO NOT USE IT

something is wrong, it should spin very smooth. cut your loss and send both chargers to jerry to be inspected. Only reason imo id go back to the guy who rebuilt them would be to get my money back.

That's the intake making the noise.

To the OP, pull both SC and send them to Jerry and have him take a look.

hammered bearings can tick as well, as hammering dents the groove and as the ball rolls across it it will tick, get it out if its that
