    primer kit worth it?

    I'm waiting on my stator update kit for my sl900, and was considering installing a primer kit. Is this a worthwile mod?

    Yes. Don't pay more than $30 for a triple cyl kit.

    you might not notice the better air flow but you will notice the easier starts

    I have a kit on my SL900. I wouldn't leave home without it! The primer kit guarantees my starts first time every time, from a safety perspective I rather rely on a primer kit if I'm miles offshore than a choke any day of the week.

    I have a thumb lever under my handgrip, and these primer kits come with a pull knob that fits through a hole with a nut on the end?

    Drill the choke mount for the primer.

    I like mine on the pod panel at the fron under the handlebars. As you need to pump a primer, you will need something firm to back it onto. This spot also allows easy access to your fuel lines and carbs.
