    Question jet pump

    can I use a 2005 f12x jet pump on a 2003 f12x jet ski

    i think so . You could ask JR..he has multiple years.. and you could check the part numbers on discounthondaparts.com oem partfinder and see if they match

    Like Shawn said, they are interchangeable. The only difference is the 05 has more vanes in the pump than the earlier models.

    I have this question because since the mechanic change the jet pump I feel a noise when I hit the gas.

    That could be cavitation or maybe he did not get the bearing housing sealed correctly and your bearings are getting washed out.

    How do I fix that problem, I have a 17/29 solas prop,that reduces cavitation

    Run it on the trailer and see if you are getting bearing grinding noise from the pump. The slight rattling noise is normal.

    Hope you have the rubber stopper in that new prop......if not it will also let water into the jetpump, stock one has one in it!, but some don't know to buy it on a prop change
