    1999 Polaris Genesis projects

Hey there, I picked up 2 99' Genesis skis as projects, they had been sitting for well over a year. Got the pair for $1500 and they are in very nice physical shape. Both of the skis were locked up, the wear rings were pushed into the impellers from the housing being all corroded.

So....I got the ski 1 pump apart today and was happy that the motor cranked over, the joy didnt last too long though, I put my compression tester on it and got 122/120/95. The 95 is on the mag side. Could it be that the rings are stuck from sitting for so long or am I looking at pulling it appart and shit?

Im kinda new to PWC's but not new to wrenching (been a grease monkey since i was little)

id take the exhaust off and water bar. undo the 4 domed nuts that hold cylinder on. leaving the head on, slide up before piston slides out. put some clean rag around the conrod so to stop things droping into cases, exam piston and bore could save alot of time

I might dig into the motor tomorrow. Im going to work on getting the pump put back together and put back on the ski first.
