    hull color and paint type

    Hello everyone, my first ski, mostly just cruise the bay and rivers, have some small scratches and what looks to be a bunk rash on the hull, would anyone know what the paint type, color code and manufactuer would be, would like to have a paint shop mix up a quart for touch up work.

    Kind of hard to tell without seeing it. Do you have a pic?

    Hull Pic's

    here are some pic's of the area's i wanted to color match for touch-ups or repaint, was looking to match the bottom [ some shade of black ], and the top hull [ Blue ], if i could get the paint manufactuer color codes a paint shop should be able to match, didnt want to completely repaint top and bottom.

    Try buffing it first. It looks like a lot of that will come out...

    For the small scratches you have circled, you should be able to use color rite's paint marker for it. Use the paint marker then use some polishing compound to blend. They have paint for the hull too.

    You may be able to tape off a portion of the hood, and paint with their rattle can, then blend it in.

    Paint or gelcoat

    which one would the original colors be, gelcoat OR paint ?

    Everything since 97 or before should be painted SMC. So you can use the color-rite or Sherwin williams automotive paint or whatever you prefer.
