Basically Official: New Addition To Our Family

Tomorrow I will be picking up my new to me 05' 1300r from Riva Super excited. Having the 1200r down with a broken driveshaft the 1300 will be a fun new ride. But I have a few questions, I am not looking to make either of my gpr's speed rockets just want reliability and some speed. So what are the best first steps I should take to making that happen with my 1300r ? Do the efi models still need the d-plate and wave clips ? any other changes/mods I should do with this ski?.... Oh here are some pics for you guys what ya think.....

Looks good!! nice and clean! I would say Yes do the Dplate and tunnel reinforcement as they are a cheap mod and increase the safety and reliability of your ski greatly! Good luck and let us know how you like your new ride!

You will not need wave clips cause in '05 they did away with the power valves all together.

Also throw an intake grate on and ride plate and enjoy.

Well I brought the 13r home today and took it out on to a local lake. Ran great saw 65-68-70 all day on flat water. Very happy with this machine. I get a slight rocking from side to side at lows speeds around 20ish wtf is that about ? Other than that no problems here but now I cant wait to get my 12r fixed to run with this.

and here is the downed 12r

Damn, you have that new puppy on the concrete!!!

ski looks good! congrats... yeah, slow speed wobble is common, but ride plate, tabs, or shoe could contribute to it...
    more so with 2 up...

    Great! Nice looking ski.

Go ahead and step your sponsons! It will make it a little more stable.

You should gps it but I'm sure its 65mph+ put a Jims plate on there and you will be close to 70mph with a stock motor
