    Conversion shaft...

just so people have the option of using an early model Yamaha Shaft (the tapered one) and any of the Doo shafts, Mark at Race Tech just finished this one! Cant wait to put it in the boat tommorow!

Thoughts about that weld failing?? Seems like under some power that could become an issue....

they are NOT just butted up against each other, the weld is actually doing very little. There is about an inch of material on the inside that you cant see. Its going nowhere.

I'm just going to stay well clear of this mess. Wobbly goblin couplers aren't my cup of tea. There are great options on the market, already, and this ain't one of them.

I saw henns shaft... ().. It is pretty much dead on straight.. He heat pressed about an inch or more of meterial from the SD shaft he turned down into the Yammi shaft then welded it, check to see if it was true and it was pretty much dead on.. I think it will be fine, If it was even out 1 thouI would agree with you Mark..

Let me first start by saying that my conversion (in progress) uses the wobbly goblin.

    But...

I agree with Mark. They can be an accident waiting to happen.

no couplers used in this, it is a 1 piece made with a 2000GPR midshaft and part of my seadoo shaft. Straight as an arrow.
    Thanks

No need to hate just cause you dont like me.... sir...and I figured a pro like you would be able to figure out that no couplers are being used in this shaft...Maybe if I through a garden accessory like a ball valve in there youd understand it more
