99 xpl motor mount check and replacement
How do i go about checking the rear motor mount on my xpl? If it needs to be replaced how do i go about it? I have a factory service manual, but it isn't very detailed on this point.

Do you have a reason to suspect that one of the rear mounts may be bad?
I suppose the best way to check them is with the boat firmly strapped to the trailer grab the pipe and yank on it. Look are any excessive movement at the mounts (note that good mounts will barely move, if at all, like this).
If you have one that is torn we can go into how to replace it with the engine in the hull based on which one is bad.
