04-05 ecu with matching dess key
need an ecu with matching dess key. I have 2 04-05 ecus with no dess key to trade or just buy yours out right.

I can do either/or.
I have ECM's for all the years, and can prog DESS keys to them.
If you send me one, I can key it together, but need to know what the ski has, so you dont get any errors. You need to specify what it has, ie, VTS, Depth, compass etc though, as you will get errors thrown at you. P or T is the usual.
Your call. It will have the last 3 numbers on the ECM as 942 if an 04 version, then the next is the 947 series.
PM if you want.

if those ECU's are legit, then all you need to do is purchase a DESS key, and have the dealer program it.
I assume this was also part of your ass-raping on the engine deal?

i thought it was only the 04s that needed the knock sensor update

The dealer can hook it into another ski, and then update the DESS key table by the 'add normal Key' option.
They will have to apply power and all the normal inputs, and then BUDS will talk to it.
If you take it without the ski, they will have to have either a test bed, or surrogate ski.
All part of the excellent security system we know as BUDS.
It is relatively complex to do without the ski complete, so you may find yourself paying a premium price.
KS update may need doing, have a look at the last 3 digits. 942 will need the adapter cable for sure. It may already have been done though. The 2003 cable (A cable) will need the adapter fitted along with the xxxxx942 ECM.
The update was for a reason, and is best being applied.

Joe if needed I have an extra "A" side harness with the resistors. Its yours if needed. What is your date code on the sticker near the waterbox sensor?
