oil pump issues 94 650 sl

Hi I have a 94 650 sl, the old owner had unhooked the old oil injection system and redid a lot of the fuel system, I noticed some of the stuff he did he kind of hacked! I would like to hook back up the oil injection system, the old pump is still there, it may or may not be good? on this year it may or may not be hooked up to linkage on the carbs. there is a shaft coming out of it, does anyone know if this year and model has the carb linkage? and also have a hose routing drawing? it would be much appreciated!

It doesn't appear to have the variable rate oil pump, so no linkage to carbs.

Dude you rock! I tell you what I( have a buddy in that area if i ever get down there I owe you dinner and a beer! Thank you! I have a manual for this one but no oil or fuel line drawing! also do I need a check valve on the vent for the gas tank? it says I do ? and also the old owner had the vent and return lines mixed up at the gas tank would that cause a problem with a back fire issue I have! Thanks again!

No need to pay anyone back. We're all here to help each other out.

Just help out when you can.

Also check out partsland.com for any schematics you may need. That's where I pulled those pics up from.

You should need a check valve.

There's a check valve to allow air INTO the fuel tank, and then there's a check valve that allows excess pressure OUT of the tank after 1.5 psi. (a little pressure build up inside the tank helps feed the fuel pump)

Both are located on the vent hose fitting of the fuel sender.

The air IN looks like a "top", while the air OUT is normally connected to the rubber vent that mounts in the cowl under the hood.
