Carb Rebuild 800 XLT
Well, after speaking with Oside (Thanks again) about rebuilding carbs I decided to give it a try. So far it has not been to bad, but the broken/stripped screws are killing me. I have made it a point to replace all old hardware with new SS as I go. Hopefully this will make it easier the next time. Thanks to all the guys on this site with helpful insight. It sure does make things easier. The carbs were pretty dirty on the outside, but inside wasn't to bad. Both low speed adjusters were frozen and required the use of vise grips after I broke the t-handles off. New ones on the way. High speed screws were ok.

Some views of the carbs apart and cleaned. I tried several different paints, but, settled on the engine enamel. The hammer finish that Oside showed in one of his post was great but it peeled as soon as a solvent touched it. I would love to powder coat the pieces but time is not on my side. Too many hobbies and to much travel.
