    Unhappy instrument panel issue! help!

ok i have a 2006 Kawasaki 15f and yesterday i flipped it upside down. A few minutes later the instrument panel that shows the mph, gas, etc. it was freaking out, it would show everything then nothing then back to everything. we waited for awhile and we took it out today and the instrument panel didn't work at all, the ski ran fine but the panel didn't show anything. Does anyone know what the cause of this would be? And how it could be fixed? that would be great.

    thanks,
    shane

you got water in something, check all your connections and pull the seal on the back of the gauge and let it dry out

I am looking at pulling the instrument cluster from my ski (2008 15f) and re-sealing it as a bit of preventative maintenance. Can anyone assist with how/where to seal the panel (photo's would be great if there are any out there).

    Thanks,

    Robba.

Ok. Here is what little I know about these...
You need to remove the mfd and the 2 holes on the outside of the mounting bracket (port & stbrd) need to be enlarged. This will lessen the stress that usually causes this.
Also there is a rubber dampner/seal that backs up against the mfd backside when removed. If you look closely under this at the corners (inside edge, adjacent to the mounting screw holes) you may see cracks here. If so, put silicone along here. If none, do it as a preventative.
A friend told me about/how to do this.
MSRP on this part is 860.00!!
