    C3-11 differance from C1-11

I have been running the C1-11 since last summer ,but changed the wheel to a C3-11 because after my ECU Reflash I could only hit 8,000 rpms at wide open.

My prop is a repitched Dynafly to a 13/24

I was in the in the process of changing over theC1 to the C3 impellor and was intrested to see the differance from the C1 to the C3. To my shock there was no differance from one wheel to the other.

I cheaked the casting number on the wheel, and again I was shocked that both wheels have the same casing number.

I cheaked the box the wheel was shipped in and yes it says C3 Impellor.

The wheel did come with the internal inducer plate replacement.

Does any one know is the C3 the Same wheel as the C1 and the only differance being that you change the inducer plate for the added boost from one wheel to the other ,and if so why then is there not a separete cost for the plate as the wheels seem to be the same?

The C3 does come with a larger inducer. These wheels can look identical to the eye, but at 80,000 rpm there doesn't have to be much of a difference. How much boost are you creating and at what RPM?
I would say your prop is the issue if anything.
A DF 13/24 is not the same thing as a Skat 13/24

    i am running a c3 with the r2 reprogramming.......
my current skat is pitched at a 13/23. which is too tall.
if you run a df. you would benefit from a skat and carlos thomas has one for sale, which he used 1 time.

+1 & if you look closely, the C3 has a larger diameter than the C1 wheel.

why would the casting numbers be the same?

the only identification on the wheel is a casting number and that is the same number on both wheels?

Compare the stock or C1 wheel in the larger inducer and then compare that to the C3. I doubt you got the wrong wheel.

What boost are you running at what RPM... (That would tell you everything)

I was hoping i did get the right wheel

I did not cheak the C1 into the plate that came with the C3 So it could be that by apperance all is good and I did get the right wheel.

I don't have a boost gage so I am unable to cheak boost preasure.

I think that there maybe something to the differance in RPM to others becasuse of the Prop ,but I don't know what the differance would be in a repitched Dynafly and a Skat Track?
