    Orlando area

hey i'm going to be down in orlando area (winter springs) May 25th and 26th. Where's the best place to ride down there? Or if anybody wants to go for a ride let me know. It's a Tuesday and Wednesday so I know that's pretty tough for some people.

those days are kinda tough, I'm off from work but I got my daughters to baby sit. There are several places to ride. Lake or ocean are you looking for. Ocean would be ponce inlet as closest place, nice waves out there. lake- you name it. tons here.

What's the best lake down there? I have some pretty good access to Lake Howell, but I'd enjoy a more scenic ride. But a lake's a lake I guess. Just going to splash around and get some speed!!

If your in the Winter Springs area I would just head over to Lake Jessup and ride north till you get to the St Johns. If you head East on the St Johns it will take you a long ways until Lake Harney. Very nice scenery and a restaraunt by SR415 on the water. If you go west it will take you to Lake Monroe.

Are there alot of Gators in those lakes? Do people go water skiing/tubing there?

Jesup is FILLED with gators. I go gator hunting there every fall. I would not risk tubing or skiing in that lake at all. The lake is only about 6 ft deep on average so its nice and warm for gators. I know any body of water in Florida can have gators, but Jesup is a little unreal. I know theres a nice ramp on the St Johns down I-4 near Sanford. Maybe I'll do that.

Long ways with many no wake zones. I don't recommend going north of Lake Monroe.

We have never had a problem with the big lizzards on Jessup and people ski on the that lake all the time. Being in Winter Springs I just thought it would be better to put in there and ride to the St Johns verses drive.
