Questions to ask when buying a ski

I'm looking at buying a 2000 GP1200R as my first ski. Here's the description:

This machine has low hours on it ( 77) and has many extras, Worx racing sponsons, D plate /with chip, wave eater power valve , brand new custom seat, brand new black tip foot pads, the pump shoe has been sealed, R&D free flow exhaust , I have just put 2k of upgrades into it the last few months, I just picked up a 06 shorelander single place trailer with bearing buddies for it. This thing flys and it doesnt even have a aftermarket grate or rideplate yet , those were next on my list. The jet ski has been stored in a heated unit for the winter, it does have the normal nicks and scratches .
Before I go and look at it, I'm looking for opinions or suggestions about any questions I should ask.

I've picked up a few things from reading posts in this forum, but I'm pretty new to this, so any help is appreciated.

buy a fuel injected ski (03+) you dont want to have to mess with carboretors on your first boat.

Plus "GP1300R" sounds so much cooler than "GP1200R"

Ask for a test ride and see if everything checks out on the water. If its a sound ski the guy shouldnt have a problem with letting you do this, if not its questionable. Tell him you will replace the gas you use.

Must check compression and/ or test ride

Inspect hull closely for major issues or fiberglass work. You don't want any big cracks. I would want the engine compartment to look clean and not like a corroded piece of junk, but that doesn't necessarily mean you are in the clear.

buy the 1200, stick 1300 cylinders on it and you have the best of both worlds!!

Basic Introduction to the purchase of a Personal Watercraft

It is written for PWC with 2-stroke engines, but many things apply to all watercraft.
