'94 waveraider 701 looking to modify

Hi i have a '94 waveraider with riva heads, exhaust, carbs, air filters. I am looking into a ride plate and a intake grate and i cant decide if these will be much help to me. I am doing mostly bay and ocean riding, maybe an occasional lake. I read i should get a new impeller if i do an intake grate. What do you guys think? will just an intake grate and ride plate give me any extra performance. Also, any brands you recommend? i heard good things about Worx but not sure. Let me know what you guys think. Thanks

CDI....allows more RPM...better timing curve etc. I currently have one on Ebay that is a direct plug in play on your stock electrical system. It's in MINT condtion.

Plate....Pro-tec shortie however....with you in the chop...you want a longer plate...and leave center bars in...now that I seen your in the ocean. You looking for more bottom end out of it?

i would like some top speed add on more than anything probably. although some bottom end acceleration would be nice. also if i were to get an impeller what pitch do you think would be good if i wanted top speed and or acceleration?

    Scat 14/19 144mm would be a good combo....running 170-185 PSI ?

10 gallons of mixed throttle after a complete warm up. 32:1 oil mix....93-94 octane and richen your mixture screws up a bit to compensate for the extra oil taking the spot of gas so you don't run it lean. That CDI would certainly help...and or you can run the MSD enhancer....both do the same deal.

My least fav thing to do unless you have a vise

But...takes the tools to do it....solas has their own...and so does Scat
