    RXPX: 89 Octane

I have easy access to 93 octane but may be moving to a lake with 89 octane as the only option. If I upgrade the supercharger but stick with the stock ECU should I be ok?

I know there are many factors.... is it RPM related? Boost related? Ignition?

    Any advice appreciated.

Lower octane fuels can/will cause pre-ignition ( detonation) which will be picked up by the knock sensor, the ecu will then pull timing to compensate. This results in power loss. 89 will also cause a crap load
    of carbon buildup.

Detonation is not good period..but is a Huge no no for a forced induction engine, i.e holes blown through pistons...

89 or 87 octane are no good for forced enduction especilly if your going with a bigger charger.... Try to stay with 93
