Setting up LM2 and AFR readings after install

I am in the process of setting up the LM2 connected to the CAPS with the analog cable. Anyone know the correct configuration for the LM2 RPM settings? I have been searching with no luck.

I currently have it set to:

    RPM Source : 0 Analog
    RPM Priority: 0 rising edge
    RPM scale: 0-10230 max
    RPM pulse: 0.5 per revolution.

I got the LM-2 installed today. The RPM settings I listed are correct. I hooked the analog cable to pin 1 and 2 of the CAPS sensor. The resulting readings show my RXT to be lean all through the RPM range. My buddies sled an 07 GTX had very similar numbers.
    Both sleds have.
    green wheel, metal washers
Riva water box through the hull exhaust
    4 inch intake
    42LB injectors
    Fizzle external IC
    Adjustable nozzle
    ride plate holes filled
    Groco strainer
    RIVA thermostat kit
    Catch Can
    OPAS block offs
    2006 has Solas 15/20 7820 Max RPM
2007 has Solas 15/19 pitched to 15/19.5 7900 max RPM

I am glad we checked AFR I was under the impression we were OK with 42LB injectors. Would running this lean be causing us to be held back by the knock sensor? Neither sled shows any signs of overheating the exhaust bells looked like new when we had them apart to install the O2 bung. We plan on installing Rude fuel controllers in preparation to add more boost.

    1770 RPM AFR 15.02
    2000 RPM AFR 14.96
    2500 RPM AFR 15.33
    3000 RPM AFR 15.45
    3500 RPM AFR 16.43
    4000 RPM AFR 16.16
    4500 RPM AFR 16.74
    5000 RPM AFR 16.08
    5500 RPM AFR 15.55
    6000 RPM AFR 14.32
    6500 RPM AFR 14.32
    7000 RPM AFR 14.26
    7500 RPM AFR 13.48
    7800 RPM AFR 13.72
    7810 RPM AFR 13.42

Wow. I just installed a x charger and 42s. I have a rrfpr also but it doesnt kick in until boost obviously. My idle is like 11.6. 2500 rpm is around 12. and then 5000 rpm is 11.3. Thats with 60psi of fuel pressure. like i said the rrfpr wasnt kicking in yet. I gotta lower my pressure but thats were it sits when i first fired it up. Sounds like ur missing fuel. Maybe bad injector or fuel pump. Can u get a pressure reading?

Speed Freak, checking fuel pressure will have to be the next step. The thing that I don't understand is 2 sleds set up the same are showing similar AFR readings, they vary by about .2-.4.

I need to do some research on the easiest way to check fuel pressure.

I was running nearly that same setup a year or so ago and it needed an rrfpr, with an rrfpr you might be able to get rid of the 42's.

Redbull, Did you check AFR on your previous setup prior to installing the RRFPR. I am having trouble understanding what in our set up is causing a lean mixture at idle to 6000 prior to any boost. Does the external inter-cooler come into play at lower RPM's? Is the reduced back pressure from the RIVA water box contributing to the lean mixture.

With your idle showing that lean something is not right with either the LM2 or the fuel.

Idle should be somewhere around 11 with the 42's.

I will put a fuel pressure gage on them today. I may even stick the 38's back in one of the sleds to see if the low RPM reading improve.

I cant imagine 2 sleds having the same issue if it is a bad pump or regulator. I wonder if the 42s are not actually 42's. We both installed them at the same time. The free air calibration of the O2 sensor was 20.9. We are moving the LM2 between sleds. I guess we cant rule out it is reading a few digits too lean. the 07 GTX has the O2 sensor in a R&D exhaust extender and the 06 RTX has the O2 sensor mounted in the Jpipe.

I appreciate any thoughts you may have.

I checked fuel pressure it is 60 PSI at idle. I will put the 38 LBS injectors in and see if the low rpm AFR gets better. I suspect maybe the 42LBS injectors are not 42s, but just a guess until I pull them.

I pulled my injectors and they have PN 6294 17113798-38. They look like the RIVA 50 LB injectors but they are suppose to be 42's. Anyone have any idea what my PN is. With a -38 might guess they are 38's

link to picture of injectors and discusion when I bought them.
