    Front hood pump issue

Hey guys, recently ran into an issue where i couldnt open up the hood on my p-x. It would open a few inches and jam. I removed the circlip and what not so i could open the hood and see what the issue was. It turned out the pump that hold it open was seized. I cut the rubber boot off the pump and it was unbelievably rusted, half of it fell apart in my hands
I noticed later that the boot that sits at the top to prevent water from intruding was not in place, but still thought the rubber over the pump would keep the water out. Really have to be on top with corrosion prevention when riding these things in salt water
just something to keep an eye on...
