    XS I/C Bleed Mod help

I'm about to do the bleed mod for the XS I/C, and I'm needing a little help. I know where to drill and tap, but the problem I am running into is most people use an 1/8" fitting and I've found those fittings, but I can't figure out the external diameter so I know what size to drill and tap. 1/8" is the internal diameter, and the external is close to 3/8" but not really, so basically I'm wondering what size drill and tap did those of you who did this mod use, and what barb fitting did you use? Also what kind of pressure would be running through the line? Would a 50 psi rated hose be enough, or do I need to go with something a little more heavy duty? I also plan on increasing the water flow through the IC by adding the "X" ski reducer washer in the pump. What do I need to do to make sure the exhaust doesn't get too much water flowing in it?

    here you go

Get the 1/8" tap and a 21/64 drill bit.

Jfizzle gave me this and this is what I used.

If I drill and tap for 1/8" I haven't been able to find a 1/8" OD (outside diameter) barb fitting to screw into it. All of the 1/8" fittings I have found are measured by the inside diameter, so any suggestions on where to get the proper fitting?

All I could find locally were plastic ones so I ordered these from ebay.

Perfect! I'll order some today. Now I just need to know if I need to mod my exhaust at all after I change the reducer washer to the on from the "X" ski

Just goto home depot. Get like the smallest barb they have. The size isnt picky. Just drill and tap 1/8 NPT. Then get a hose barb to 1/8NPT. The smallest they sell. Then a small hose leaving the hull to let the air out.

Also 1/4" hose will let out too much water from your cooling system. You just want to vent the little bit of air. Not a huge pisser.

I think I used 3/32. or 1/8. It was small. Or use the 1/4 and put a carb jet in the hose to restrict flow

I went to Lowe's and the smallest barb they had was 1/4" OD not NPT so I would have ended up have almost a 5/8" hole to fit that barb. I'll just order the right now so I can be done with it and have the right part.

I've got my barb fitting ordered....now for the exhaust issue. I know many people have put the larger reducer in the pump to allow more water to their intercoolers, and I thought I read they added a pisser to the waterbox or drilled out the existing one to keep the waterbox from getting too much water in it. If that is the case, where do I drill or add the pisser to?
