SLT700 Impeller came loose
I was out last weekend for the first time this season. I had a vibration and then some noise from the jetpump. I nursed it back to shore and about 20 feet from the dock it stalled. I did not try to restart it. When I got back home I pulled the pump out and found the impeller came loose. I replaced all the bearings and seals and did about 100 hours of riding last year. The last ride of the season I sucked up what looked like a heavy duty 6 pack holder. I pulled the pump out to get it out and winterized and did not ride again until this past weekend. Could the 6 pack holder from last year have caused my problem this year or is there something elese I should look for. I have a spare pump so I did not take the old one apart yet. After I swapped parts the ski ran great.

Sure will, they make great removel tools. If you have an impeller gauge you can verify the impeller is or is not bent.

Thanks for the quick response. I put the same impeller back in so I think that is okay. I was always under the assumtion that the impeller could not come loose because the direction it spins. Guess that was wrong. Thanks again.
