    2008 RXPX

    Hey guys,

When i try to start the ski it fires up but then cuts out straight away, i tried a new battery but it is still the same, any one got any ideas, guy in the seadoo dealer asked if it was charging ok, but i cant check it as it won't run, really wanted to go out for a ride tomorrow, am in my shop right now on the spanners trying to fix it !!!

when fitting exhaust & kanaflex, was just starting to refit everything & noticed the pipe from the little hole in the front side of the ski you know under the rail is not attached to anything. Where does it go ?

    Nick

It goes to the battery to vent fumes.

You unplugged something when you did your mods. If it was running before the mods and then afterwards its not, its something you did.

I had running problems before when i lost the acid out of my battery in rough sea, thats why i thought new battery would fix it, it was showing up 12v low & battery acid/water had come out due to cracked battery, do you know if the ski will run if it is not charging, i would have thought it would run for a whiule untill the battery went flat ??

Okay, now we are getting somewhere. P0344- Cam sensor maybe unplugged. The fuel pump will not continue to run, if it this is not hooked up.

P1502 is the TOPS sensor. Its up front across from the battery at the front of the fuse box. Maybe damaged from acid or something else. Rough Seas.

Hey JP thanks for all the help man, I think it looks like damaged TOPS switch, cam sensor fault is gone, maybe thrown up due to 1st battery dying?

TOPS switch was not even attached to MPEM but was swinging around on its wire, refitted it properly - ski starts & runs now but is in limp mode engine light is flashing & code P1502 keeps flashing on display... will get to dealer in the morning & get a new one might get half a day riding in if im lucky !!
