Yeah, Chris is known as Mr. duct tape and bailing wire around here.
That drive shaft felt like it was welded to the carrier and rather than beat it out of the hull I figured it was safer to remove the engine and pull it out as an assembly with the support bearing.
Actually I was pulling the motor to install an upgrade and gave the coupler a little spin-not good. What's more suprising is my wife never said she heard a noise coming from the engine compartment nor felt a vibration on its last trip out.
I got the tool from Randy when I was out there a few weeks ago. The driveshaft tool came from Jay years back.

Is this the first time you replaced the carrier bearing on her MSX?

How many hours on that bearing?

It's on my Matrix, she was riding it while I wasn't able too after my hip replacement.
It's the first time it's been replaced, I'll have to check the hours when I power it back up. It's certainly done its job.

Does Randy have any more of those?

The drive shaft tool I presume is the standard Polaris/SPX part?

    He does and yes.

I laways wanted to throw out two real simple answers like that.
Although by blabbing just now, the statement is no longer true.
