    slx drive coupler

Does anyone know the difference between the 2000 SLX drive coupler compared to the 2001 drive coupler? Thanks

All Polaris drive shaft PTO couplers are mechanically interchangeable, except for the MSX models.

Is your coupler a solid metal coupler, or a rubber bonded type?

    drive coupler

Mine is the rubber type. The reason I was wondering about the difference between the two is because last year I noticed alot of vibration and took the pump off and noticed the spline part of the coupler is spinning out of round. In other words the rubber must have fatigued a little and made it not spin true anymore. I noticed that the part numbers were different between 2000 and 2001 so I didn't know if they made a better set up in 2001. Thanks

According to the Polaris Indistries parts listings, the rubber bonded coupler part number 1060119 was used from 1997-2004 (COUPLER ASM,DRIVE )

The 2001 SLX uses part number 1013544 (ASM-DRIVE COUPLER, DUROMETER 60)

The durometer 60 1013544 coupler was used with all the 1200 engines from 2001-2004, except the 2001 Pro 1200

Are these the part numbers you have?

    drive coupler

No my ski is the 2000 SLX the part number on my coupler is different. I just want to know if I should look for a newer (maybe better) style or get the same year or part number that I have now. Maybe the durometer is better on the one used on the 2001 and up. Thanks for your help.

What part number was the coupler on your 2000 SLX?

Note: durometer is a measure of rubber hardness.

    drive coupler

The part number is 1060119 and I don't know what the durometer is.
