    CHECKING AFR's AFTER MODDING

hi all, when some mods have been done how do you's check air fuel ratios... im not really wanting to buy my own kit just to put on for a bit and then take straight off again, so is it possible for a dealer to check that they are ok for me or do i need a session on the water to o it?

    thanks ian

Although not impossible, they may do it??? I can;t see that route being very effective though.

However, if you are going to pay for the parts to mod a ski you should pay for the tools to make sure it is correct. If not, you are asking for trouble. An AFR kit is a fraction of the cost of a motor.

Mac stop pissing about and buy the AFR kit and a pet 2100 while your there...

your going to need your own AFR and youcant guess your revs..these are tools you going to need as your chucking the R2 on your ski, the cost of a new engine will hurt buddy so safe gaurd what you have and do it correct first time...

pay a dealer to check it aint you given the Boat shop enough this year..

You always need to know your fuel mixture. If you check it once and remove it down the road something acts up while you are at WOT and poof goes your motor.

How long do the sensors last if you leave it in? thought I read some where that it is lasting about 10 hours.

Mac your full of shit....you will never stop modding its a bug and you have it....

if you want to check ANYTHING later down the line or say change a s/c wheel, i.e swap same wheel due to wear or s/c shaft failure you are going to need the lc-1 again(just to be sure and double check),the link i sent you months ago was recomended to me from my buddy who's a god with 4 strokes and as it happens most the guy here use the Dyno boost system...

look into the innovate lm-2 system as this dont have to be left on nore cutiing of the ski..simply use it remove it from ski and place in its box in garage till next time....

see link below forhooking the pet up is below although i dont have mine like this

there is a lc-1 kit its only the sensor, harness, and computer software.

stand alone lc-1 kit comes with above and a digital gauge it cost more but you have something to look at on the water.
