Broken bolt/ Jetpump housing removal...
Ok so i have been at this damn thing for a week and this bolt is not going to budge i have decided the best route is to replace the jetpump housing...
so the question is what does it take to remove the housing i have removed the 4 bolts from inside the hull that appear to be holding on the housing and now obviously it is sealed to the back of the ski
is this just a Pry job? or is there a trick or method to it?
at this point the money spent to replace a stator is getting a little ridiculous
so if i cant do this lol im going to sell the ski as is with the new parts.
and one more question where should i and can i get a new jetpump housing?

I had the same problem. I bought a used one from Sharps Marine. The pump does come off a little rough as it is siliconed on there pretty good. I used some rubber coated pry bars that worked very well if your careful. Try not break the gelcoat. I think I actually tapped on the mounting studs from inside the hull to help break away some of the silicone. Give Sharps a call those guys are really great. That bolt would probable never come out of there without damaging the housing its a stainless bolt in an aluminum housing so it pretty much fuses itself in there once the never sieze washes away. I take mine apart every year now and re-never sieze the bolts so it never happens again. Just make sure you have things lined up properly on the way back together and I would suggest using a torque wrench to snug those up evenly. Also when you get the used pump housing run a tap through there to clean up the threads. Hope this helps

Any pure silicone will work. use a 2x4 and work it side to side. Bring it over this week sometime, we will get it off
