    Fast Idle

Took my RXT out yesterday and somehting didn't seem right. After launching it was idling high, I figured it was just cold (air ~75, water ~65). I headed out thinking by the time I would hit the next no wake zone it would have settled down, but it didn't... With my hand completely off the throttle I was idling ~2300RPM (~1500 normally). What's going on here?

Did you change anything recently? Look for a vacuum leak on your manifold. Ic blockoff if you have one.

Make sure there is no binding on the throttle cable.

I haven't changed anything since the last time I rode it. Throttle cable isn't binding either. When pull it out of the water I start it up and hit the throttle 1 time to blow the excess water out... could that be it then? If so, how do I fix that?

It's still idling fast... I inspected the throttle cable, the flapper that it connects to in the throttle body doesn't look like its closing all the way. I assume I could loosen the cable a bit but then I would lose top end. It was fine before, what gives...?

1800rpm, unplug you battery for 5 min and this should reset it, maybe your idle bypass valve is acting up
