    03 gpr1300 cracked head

well i noticed that one of the brackets was vibrating so much so i look closely and one side of one of the two top brackets in top of the head cracked and both bolts were cracked inside, only bolt holding it on is the one that goes straight in to the exhaust. i changed out the bolts and put better ones, ones that actually went ALL the way down to the head. but one side is still cracked i put some jb weld on would that hold off or am i in deep shit ?

Well the same thing happen to me after a lot of hours offshore. I tryed JB weld and it did not hold , maybe heat related. So I took the parts to a shop and had them welded up and then I retapped them. I also upgraded the hardware. Oh and dont forget the Red loctite. I only have a few hours in the surf on this repair . But then the motor mounts gave out.

Yes, I now check my bolt after a hard ride. The first time it happen to me i trusted the shop to do it right under warranty. Cost me weeks out of the H2o . Hope to splash mine this weekend . Just carbon fibered the tunnel and sealed the pump.
