how much slip is too much

et137 all new mcmaster springs and rotax clutch washers 08 shaft. its at 190inlbs, just under 16foot pounds. so its supposed to make 14lbs of boost so i know i should shoot for 168ish INCH pounds or 14foot pounds of slip, but is what i have safe to run? i know it will break in and loose some in the process. just don't want to break a shaft or any nonsense!
