    fuel pump codes p0231???

Picked up a walbro from les cooke, installed and turned over the ski.. it will not start

got the code p0231 which says its a fuel pump short...

walbro is brand new, all the wiring appears to be in great shape..

going to reinstall stock and test...

anyone have tips to fix this when dealing with an aftermarket fuel pump? is this repairable?

The amp draw of the Walbro is throwing the code you need to install a relay for it to work. BTDT

It just doesn't make sense..For some guys these drop in no problem but others are throwing codes and burning fuses.

I've put a few in with no problems.

It is strange how some pix the system, and some dont.

One I had a problem with was actually a different resitance inside it, that being lower, and popped the fuse. Changed it for another, and all was good.!!

The shop said it was ok, but when changed, it was ok!!
