A couple 780/750 questions
I'm adding 780 carbeurators to my 750 slt. Can you use the 750 intake manifold with the 780 carbs? Also, will the old throttle cable work, or is the 780 set up different?

You can mount the 780 carbs on the 750 intake manifold. But they will be spun 180*.
I cannot tell you if there will be a problem because of this.
I do not know anyone that has actually ran the 780 carbs on the 750 manifold in that fashion.
Guess you'll be breaking new ground.

Take your 780 carbs and your 750 manifold and put them together to see if they line up. As long as they line up properly and you can hook up the throttle and choke cables I don't see why it wouldn't work. Post some pics so we can have a look.

So you're saying there's a chance...
Thanks for the info guys, I was just making sure I had everything ordered I need, so if I needed I 780 manifold I could get it ordered asap. I'm thinking the carbs should be here in the next day or two so I will post pics as soon as I get my hands on them. I guess we'll find out if reverse carbs are do-able or just the dumbest rig job ever.

I haven't been on here in a few days, I've been busy working on the slt. I got my carbs and fa's in and installed, I'll show pics if I ever remember to download them. Turns out the 780 carbs fit on to my 750 manifold exactly like the 750's did. No need to reverse them or even get a longer throttle cable. Good news there!
