'Best' slip for a stock SC?
Been while since I worked on a stock SC, but was helping a friend put Riva washers in a stock SC for a 185 hp ski. We messed with McMaster spring washers, regular washers, two different 'L cups' (one sanded down a good bit, other untouched), and finally got slip to 115 inch lbs with 3 MCM spring washers and the sanded L cup. I know in the dim past we used to hear to set slip at 5 - 8 foot lbs on stock SCs but now we tend to set them a bit higher on the bigger wheels.
115 inch lbs is roughly 9.5 foot lbs ... I like it, but is that OK on a stock SC? What is current recommendation on slip for a stock SC with Riva washers?
