Wow, what I can tell is the iBR is a gimmick of sorts. If you lose ability to steer while using it makes no sense.
But I'm probably missing something and am totally off base.

I think seadoos handle great and if your an experienced rider you can avoid obstacles and things.

Wow. That was a great video. Hes correct people think now with these new systems that they will be safer to stop. It always comes down to it. Its all about being experianced out there on the water. and always looking around. Ride safe out there guys.

    Just a heads up.

I don't know if anyone on this forum has had to stop in an emergency, but the reverse gate on my RXP has help save my ass before! Doing about 25mph letting off the throttle, pulling the reverse lever and holding the throttle at about 4000 RPM all in the last second, stopped me completely in about 30 feet. Man, am I glad I have quick reflexes!!!

IMO, that wouldn't be a bad thing to practice.

It reminds me when ABS braking first came out in the auto industry.(BMW was the first).
People thought..."Now I can stop instantly on a dime"........ Ya ..right!! .. As Craigo and ADAMBOMB stated.
It is the experience of knowing your ride (auto, seadoo,...whatever) that is going to keep you out of a sitation.
    my 2 cents

    Cheers

reverse gate trick has saved my arse before, and i pulled it at about 40 and nailed the gas, felt it the only option at the time. by the grace of ___________ (insert your choice of god here) it didn't blow the gate off and stopped!

No Steering is BAD. This is one of the reasons you NEVER lock up the brakes on a vehicle if you hydroplane or you are about to hit something. Its best to let off the gas (in a vehicle) and steer out of it.

While your brakes are locked up you have NO steering as well (most vehicles)

I think where the IBR really help is around dock, Its easier to deal with the hand brake - reverse than dealing with the old reverse gate.
