I was just going to order them myself but not from Polaris. I could swear I read that they had adhesive on them.

Might be a heat transfer decal.

might be an improperly stored decal

in which case the glue evaporates.

I have a new vinyl cutter on the way since I'm losing out on revenue from making boat numbers I opted to make an investment in one.

Sure I get 10% off from the local guy..but that's a big $2 per set..almost not worth the trouble..on the other hand, I'll make some good money on numbers I cut myself.

first big project is ambitious...I'm lettering my pick up ( right after I get the new seadoo/taxi yellow paint job done)

I'll practice up doing some boat numbers and some small signs for the shop.

At some point I should be able to offer GH members decent quality stuff at a good price..let's see how well this thing works and if it is actually worth my time ( I do need something else to do during the off season besides fix a couple of ATV's and swing a few engines.)

So litterally just apply an iron to them?

Don't use the bare iron on the seat vinyl as you could get stuck and burn it. Wrap a thin cotton cloth, like an old t-shirt to the iron before you do it - that will ensure you have the heat needed to transfer without putting hot metal onto vinyl.

Another idea is to use aluminum foil or wax paper between the iron and decal/seat. Use low setting on iron.
