Oil For the Supercharger during installation

I got my supercharger back and am ready to reinstall. I want to make sure that I oil it before I ride. I noticed in the manual that it says to not reuse the gasket when you remove the bolt for the oil filler hole. Are people reusing the gasket? If not, is there another way to do it. Also, what is the best method for getting the oil in the filler hole?

I reused the gasket and it didn't leak.

For adding the oil a medicine dropper (Might not have one if you don't have kids lol) worked great.

I re-used the gasket with no problems. I dipped a drinking straw into the oil bottle. Then held finger on it to trap oil. Put the straw into oil hole and removed finger while spinning wheel.

    Nooooooooooo!!!!

You MUST oil that hole OR ELSE.............................the sc'er runs the risk of running dry for just a few seconds before engine oil pressure builds up, leaving you with the same issue you just fixed.

Fill it with a good old fashion oil can till it oozes out everywhere. And as above, spin the wheel as you do.

And when you are ready to start the motor do not rev for at least a minute. Keep the revs as low as possible before oil pressure is up.

From now on I'm taking mine down to the boat ramp and sticking the back end of the ski in the water just for this reason.

    Pain in the arse? Yes!
    Impracticable? Yes!
    Worth it? Yes!!!!!

    Just an opinion of course.

    Sorry Corky,
I wasn't having a go at you. If it seemd that way I sincerly apologise.

It's just that if that bloody sc'er shaft binds on the bushes at the first startup, your in the same pile of sticky dog poo you just paid heaps of money to get out of.

I'm sure 99% of the time all will be well but with my luck.........well you know the story.

    Just trying to help guys.

or you could unplug the coil pacs and spin the ski over for a bit ,for the oil pump to prime up the system
