    Which Engine/IC Cooling Upgrade Kit??

    Everyone-

I'm about to buy the next round of mods, including JD's IC kit. I'm looking at this engine/IC cooling upgrade kit:

    http://www.4-tecperformance.com/inde...oducts_id=1164

It looks like this helps the engine and IC cooling, where the other kits from Riva/R&D just upgrade the IC lines.

    Thoughts?

Thanks, and I know you are running more boost than I will right now. That rules the R&D out. I'll wait to see what JD offers and just order it later then.

    thanks!

I have the R&D on mine but JD1 rerouted a lot of the lines. Waiting to get stuff fixed so not a lot of testing yet. I have a blow by issue that I'm told was caused by the R&D cooling kit.

it depends on the air/water temp. where you ride.....
i have the r&d kit. which has been partially modified to the jd kit.
if i was to get a cooling kit know, i would go with the jd cooling kit with the jd ic that was installed today

I have the R & D kit and I believe that unless you ride in warmer water than 80° F this kit works too well.

Where I ride, the water is normally cooler and the kit just works too well. Since installing my kit, I have re-installed my thermostat (which I feel my ski needs) but to do this I had to shut off two of the three additional cooling supplies (water and oil) that I installed with this kit. Which makes me wonder why I installed this kit for my particular situation...

Just from reading and studying or lurking here on the Hulk, I would look at the Riva kit as I like the thermostat being in my ski. Don't know much about the Jet Draft kit but will be watching that one also.

Personally, I would put that money towards a huge effing IC as intake air is what I want/need to cool. That is unless you're running an aftermarket ECU.

which ic do you think would be better for our tropical hot humid climate in Singapore? typically the water is around 26-28 degrees C, the air around 32 C. i still have the stock sc and got the Riva Stock IC upgrade kit from greenhulk, but want to upgrade to a c1 or c3 later this year.

i am curious why you had to close off the oil cooler and engine supply when you re installed the thermostat?
