    Cap unused oil nozzles?

Converted my SL650 to premix fuel. I took out the oil reservoir, oil pump, and all the oil lines. I blocked the oil pump mount in the block with a block off plate. What I didn't think of until now is the other end, the oil nozzles in the intake manifold. I know they are supposed to have check valves in them rated for about 3 psi or so, but should I cap them off to avoid drawing unmetered air in under high vacuum conditions? I would remove them and plug the manifold, but that seems like too much hassle if I can just pop on some rubber caps. What's the concensus on this?

    Cap the oil nozzles.

Use something that is rated for oil and fuel exposure.

What about those vinyl caps that are used to protect you from exposed screws? I found some at the local big orange hardware store for 25 cents a piece. They are a snug fit on the oil injectors and a really snug fit on the vacuum nipples. Here's a pic. Hopefully they are okay with oil and gas.

Automotive supply shops should have vacuum line caps.

I will have to look into that. Too bad too, I like the red on blue. Looks neat!
