    custom steering nozzle

i made a custom steering nozzle the other week and wanted to share my findings. first, i used the oem steering nozzle, a 4'' piece of pvc pipe about 6 inches long, a torch, a funnel, and some epoxy. sounds good already huh??? first, i warmed the pvc pipe with the torch, enough so that o could force the funnel down inside of it to expand the outside diameter. what i was going for was enough of a lip so that the pvc would gradually slide down the oem nozzle until i got a tight fit. with that done, i epoxied the 2 pieces together and then got my flapper wheel and a drill and chamfered the pvc enough so to have a smooth waterflow going thru it. sitting on the edge of your seat yet?? you should be. in essence, the nozzle went from a 93 mm to a 73mm. the smaller the diameter the higher the pressure flowing thru it. kinda like a pressure washer or fire hose. i expected the holeshot to be almost non-existant. but on the top end i expected it to really fly. WHAT A DIFFERENCE, WE ARE TALKING MORE THAN 5 MILES PER HOUR DIFFERENCE OVER OEM. and the stream coming out of the back was a sight to see. it literally had a 200' jet-wash behind it. it was only about 6 inches above the water but it was loud and viscious. and did i mention that i couldnt get over 40 mph? it was a total turd. the water couldnt get out fast enough to propel me over 40. after about 10 minutes of this, i put the oem nozzle on. i was getting ready to do some speed runs on the package plate i recieved from kerry. but all was lost, i had to tow j-me's sorry ass in(JUMPER) again. did i mention that during the tow job, it started to rain, then a massive downpour, then thunder and lightning, then a freakin hurricane force winds and driving rain, a broken tow rope, an idiot trying to surf on the wake from my ski, while on his ski, 20' vision in front of me, nitwit behind, 7 thousand rpm for 12 miles, 3/4 tank of gas. and he was complaing that i was only towing him at between 35-40 mph. what a richard!!! SINK THAT SKI AND BUY MY GPR!!!!!! OR SOMEONE SELL HIM A RIVA CDI
