How much do I need to up the jetting (pics)
As most of you probably know by now, I have a 1200 slx running premix.
Last summer it was always running lean, but I continued to use it. Last fall I bought a new carb and put it on. After the first few times out this spring I noticed that it was still lean.
Last weeked I opened up the new carb and did a leakdown test. The carb looked great and the leakdown test went well. While I had the carb opened I upped the jetting a little with some old jets I had laying around. I believe it is now at 140 145 142 (mag, cen, pto).
These pics were taken after towing another ski in for a pretty lengthy distance, so I don't know how much that would effect it. Either way, it is clear that the CEN is running very lean (as it was with the last carb.) I also checked the reeds, they're in good shape.
Heres the pics:

It almost seems like the wash is developing in layers. There is no distinct wash, but you can see areas of light and dark. I never really see that when anyone else posts pics of their wash.
