    SHO bogging/ not running

So on my first full weekend at the beach everything was going great until at about 1/2 throttle my ski bogged and died. I pulled the seat off, nothing seemed hotter than normal. no warning light so i waited a min and tried to start back up. it ran about 10mph for a while (i was not pushing it) and then died again. i took the seat off and it seemed to run better but eventually started the same **** all over again. any ideas?

b.t.w the ski is an 09 and only has 8 hrs

Check the impeller area for an obstruction or something wrapped around the shaft.
Check plugs, gas (water? old?), air intake, impeller pump bearings.

I brought the ski to the dealership to be serviced, and they claim that a loose clamp on one of the exhaust hoses was loose causing the waterbox to fill more than it should, bogging it out. i looked at a diagram of the cooling system and cant figure that one out for myself. does that sound right? I have checked everything else, plugs look good, gas is new(gas doesnt stay in these very long, and everything else seems fine. dealer says no fault codes were found.

    Don't Worry

That's probably exactly what happened. If the hoseclamp on top of the waterbox is loose, the faster you try to go, the more water and exhaust leaks out the top of the box, making it impossible for your engine to run properly. When you took the seat off and 'aired it out' a little bit, it ran again, cause it could breathe.

Had the exact same thing happen on my FZR, 40 minutes into my break in ride.

    Good luck!

well thanks for the input guys. turns out that was exactly what was wrong. i got it back from the dealer today, put it in the water and it ran fine. One of these days it wont be under warranty and all of this info is gonna save me and hopefully someone else a bunch of money.
