    97 SL1050 ignition trouble

I don't post here much, but I am hoping to get some help on this 1997 SL1050 I am working on.
A guy I do work for occasionally brought this by with a stator and asked me to swap stators. So I did (quite the job, I might add).
Here is a photo of the stator I removed:

The replacement stator was a bit different, but bolted up. It does not have the three laquered coils that the original stator has. Instead, there are just metal cores there. Also, the black ground wire has a ring lug on the replacement, whereas the original had a male bullet connector.

I guess I could call the job done since I did what he asked me to do, but there is still no spark (which I guess was the issue to begin with.

    I have done the following:
Checked grounds in ebox, to and from engine block and negative battery terminal.
Verified voltage is above 10.5 during cranking (it's at 11.5)
Pushed the bilge pump button while starting.

    Still no spark.
    The MFD shows LOPr.
If anyone's got any advice to fix this, I'd really appreciate it.

    Here are some more pictures:

You replaced an original ignition stator with an Updated Generation III stator.

The updated stator is NOT compatible with an original CDI. The Gen III stator must be used with an updated Gen III CDI.

Normally these are bought as a pair (Updated CDI + Updated Stator) in an Ignition System Update Kit, which is sold by Polaris for exactly this purpose.

I thought that might be the case. Any ideas where one could purchase just the CDI?

Thanks Fellas. I'll give Randy a call. I have not bothered him since February.
