    Speeds on 14/20 prop

    Post up your speeds for an un touched 14/20 dynafly prop and rpms-

    Due to the heat today my little 1200 only spun 7160rpm but went 75.3mph with tabs shimmed .160" Thats one mean setup hull It use to require at least 7220+ to get to 75mph.

    Its been on a 14/20 prop-

    7160rpm = 75.3mph
    7320rpm = 77.2mph

    Well Andy,when it comes to performance whether its a pwc, mx, cars etc,there's always going to be some "trial and error".I like the 13/19, the 14/20 i like more.It seems to "dig in " and get a better bite, i just wasn't sure i had the right set up to turn it. I switched to an 85mm nozzle and my rpms dropped just a little. Hey i'm still learning....

    cool!
    very true Dave, there is so much to learn about props and nozzles, I`ll never comprehend all of it to the point where 10ths of a mile really matter...
    you def had the set-up to use a 14\20. Now the crossroad is whether you are satisfied with the way the ski performs or continue testing for every tenth...

    what are your max rpms now?

    Dayum! how are ya getting those speeds?

    best I could ever do with a modest set-up on the 1300 was close to 73, maybe a few tenths more balls arse empty, but the hull was not set up for max speed...
