    Starter Problem

Can someone give me some ideas to test why my starter is not turning over using my start button.I have continuity on my starter switch. My starter turns over by direct wiring. I have 12 v in my control box. All cables show continuity and are clean. Fuse is OK. Any ideas?
An added note, I jumped the solenoid and the engine turned over fine. Is it safe to say I have a bad solenoid?

It does sound like you need a replacement solenoid.

Welcome Caveman. It does help if you post what ski it is you have.

If direct wiring makes the starter turn over, and you have 12V to the solenoid, it may be bad. BUT, first try disconnecting the kill switch wire from the circuit board and retry.

Thanks for your replies. It ended up being my red purple wire from starter button was faded and looked like it was red white wire. Switched it over to the red purple terminal and it started right up. Again thanks
