    adjusting rev limiter ????

    I have a SL 900 with a 1050 topend.

I want to know if there is a way to adjust the rev limiter for the stock 6800rpm to 7200-7500 rpm.

long story short, the 1050 cylinders i have are ported and make a peak 185HP at 7400rpm ( has a custom single pipe and heads)

So if anyone knows a way to cut out the rev limiter or adjust it please let me know

Where on earth did you find 1050 cylinders that will make 185hp with a single pipe? I find that hard to believe. As for raising the rev limiter, I am not sure it can be done on your CDI, you may need a custom programmed CDI to achieve higher revs.

Which ignition system are you using ? What is the part # on the CDI? I think the later model 1200 cdi has a 7200 limit but will only work with the updated ignition system.

    900 impeller ?
What rpm's does it run now ?
