    are cylinder heads interchangable?

i sold my 05 gp1300r a few weeks ago and kept my r&d heads. what i want to know is, would they fit onto a 1200 motor?

1300 is an 84mm piston and the 1200 is an 80mm piston

No...they will bolt up but your compression will be way low since the bore is so much smaller.

Better off selling them and finding a modded 1200 head or aftermarket one. There are plenty out there at good prices.
