Skat Long Blade Impellers on Stock Pump

Can someone please explain the benefits of a skat long blade impeller and how you would pitch it compared to a regular impeller? Im curious more than anything.

More of a bottom end solution as I understand.

blades have more area, you get more grip

larger blades mean you use a lower pitch

great low end with pretty good high end

the way i understand it. the long blade prop has my blade overlap than the swirl. and you will get better hookup and less cavitation. it is also setback.
i would get it in a 160mm. and get the liner too.
you want to get the long blade depitched by 1 degree on the trailing edge to keep the same rpms as a regular swirl.
at 420.00 a pop. you want to be sure on correct pitch for your setup. my gut feeling is that i will end up with a 12/20 long blade and a 12/21 swirl.

You mean a 15/20 or at least 14/20 swirl. 12 on the leading edge sounds pretty small for the long blade too.

i was refering to a 160mm setup. with a 155mm i am currently running a 13/23. and i need to drop the trailing edge by 2 degrees. to pickup rpms. and since i am having cavitation burn and erossion on the oem vein. i am going to bump up too a 160mm liner and prop and get the stator repaired.
if i go higher on the leading edge my rpms will stat low. at least that is what i have been told.

Well I have a skat long blade pitched by JD1 for sale. It worked real good but I have decided to go with a seadoo pump so if anyone is interested in it, please let me know.
