Riva Rear Exhaust Kit RXP-X
I am interested in a thru hull exhaust for my Rxp-X.
But Riva's kit says that you must replace the stock intercooler for their kit to work. Is there a way around this? Is there a better alternative?
I just want to clean up the hull and eliminate the resonator on the opposite side, but I dont want to spend $500 on a new I/C

I made my own exhaust hose from the old exhaust. I cut and spliced it in a couple places. This is a okay set up, but I do worry about water backing up to the exhaust manifold. The RIVA set up brings the exhaust higher to try and prevent water intrusion that high. If you are getting serious about modding, do the RIVA waterbox, I/C relocate with a reinforced X I/C, and rear air, too.

Jim, in looking at mine and then yours I dont think its going to back up bro. I never realized you did it like that. I thought u had the Riva pipe though.
That's pretty neat.

Do you have to relocate the intercooler on the p-x to use the rear exhaust? I want to put the through hull on my ski but I dont want to spend 500 to move the intercooler.

You may be able to do it the way I have it, but I think it will be tight. I know its $$$ to move all the stuff around in the back. I resisted for about a year before I did it.

I thought there was a kit out there you didn't have to relocate everything??

You know the one thing that really sucks about the riva relocation kit is that you spend over 500 bucks on it and they dont even give you a block of plate for the BOV!!
